I have been sick for waaaaay too long. As in almost 14 days of not being my normal self. It started as a sore throat. That turned into a head cold, which then turned into a chest thing, which was accompanied by raging headaches. I am happy to say, though, that all of the yuckiness is finally pretty much gone! I thought I'd share with you some of the things that have helped me through these past couple weeks!
- Healthy Eating. Ha. Can we just talk about how hard that is to do around the holidays?! There aren't just cookies left. There are boxes and boxes of chocolates. But eating healthy is really an important part of getting yourself better.
- Tea! I will use any excuse to drink tea, but there is no better time for it than when you're sick. There are so many different kinds all with different benefits. David's tea has an amazing selection and even has teas that are designed to help kick colds butts!
- Bubble Baths. I'm not a huuuuge bath fan but they can really help relax your muscles after they've been tensed from all the coughing. Pinterest is full of detoxifying bath recipes if you're looking for something healing, but if you just want some aroma therapy and quiet time, fill your bath with luxurious bubbles, light some candles, and let the warm water do it's healing thing!
