Well folks, as I'm sure the one month hiatus informed you, I have been so.freaking.busy. Between being in school full time and having a social life and trying to practice self-care all while getting ready for the holidays I am running low on steam. But fear not because as of today I am on a break! Two blissful-ish weeks of no classes! We do have tests and projects due in the days after we get back so it's not a total break but hey, I'll take whatever I can get!

Best part of the week: Yesterday was the last day of classes and because the teachers knew we were all pretty much checked out the day was very chill. After writing two tests in one class we spent the remaining two hours before our next class playing games like Heads Up and 21 Questions with our teacher. It was so much fun and a great way to unwind after test writing and weeks of hard work.

Worst part of the week: I had an appointment on Monday afternoon and they were running so far behind schedule that I had to sit and wait for an hour. Super lame.

Something I'm grateful for: Have I mentioned I have a two week break starting today?

Something I'm looking forward to: I have so much to look forward to in the coming days/weeks. Today a group of friends and I are heading up to a local mountain for some wintery fun, on Monday I'm Christmas crafting with another friend, the rest of the week is spent prepping for Christmas and then it's CHRISTMAS!

329) Whats your favourite radio station? Normally I don't listen to the radio much because I usually just plug my phone into my car stereo and listen to Spotify. But since the first week of December I've been listening to 103.5, the local Christmas station. It's got more variety than my limited Christmas playlist and it's a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.

Happy weekending friends!

Happy Friday! I had to take a few photos for a school assignment this week and I decided to take them down at the beach on a perfectly grey, windy fall day we had over the weekend.

Best part of the week: I was in a super fantastic mood on Wednesday. I had a great sleep the night before, I ate food I loved all day long, I had just the right amount of caffeine, and I was with some of my favourite people all day!

Worst part of the week: Even though I was in a super great mood on Wednesday, there was a major car accident right near where I go to school and it caused all the roads in the area to turn into brutal streets of non-moving cars. So that super sucked.

Something I'm grateful for: This week I am feeling grateful for the fact that we weren't assigned a ton of homework for the weekend. We've got a few projects on the go so there's still oodles of work to do but extra homework assignments weren't really given out much this week so I am grateful that I can spend the weekend working mostly on the projects I already have on the go.

Something I'm looking forward to: I don't know when it's coming but sometime in the next few weeks/couple of months I'm going back to Victoria. It'll likely only be for a day trip but I have been missing it so so so much lately and any time at all that I can spend there is going to be freaking awesome.

86) Have you ever flown a kite? I believe I have. I vaguely remember being a kid and having taking a kite out with the fam and trying to get it to fly. I don't remember if it worked or not so obviously it wasn't that big of an event... I also think I might have tried making one, too, at some point? But clearly kite flying wasn't a big part of my childhood...

Happy weekending friends! May it be full of tea, books, friends, family, and cozy blankets!

Best part of the week: I had a mock job interview with one of my teachers at school this week and I slayed it. I felt super confident about the work I was presenting and I got great feedback from my teacher so the whole experience, while slightly nerve-wracking, was definitely a good one.

Worst part of the week: Daylight savings is not my favourite. Yes we got an extra hour of sleep on Sunday but driving home in the pitch black every single day is laaaaame.

Something I’m grateful for: Left over Halloween candy.

Something I’m excited for: We have a long weekend and I am very much looking forward to spending time by myself working away on portfolio projects for school and getting cozy while it rains all weekend long.

734) Do you have to wear glasses? I do wear glasses when I’m working on the computer or reading or doing other things that strain my eyes. I have excellent vision for all things far away but I tend to get headaches when I’m working on things close up.

Happy weekending everyone and happy Remembrance Day to my fellow Canadians! I hope you have a great long weekend and take some time to appreciate our wonderful country that men and women have fought so hard to protect.
